Hello Everyone,
Here comes another Liteflux, famed for their complicated UI in a flashlight. These lights are solely operated at the push of a switch, yet Liteflux has managed to cram a (mostly..for you nitpickers) fully featured programmable microprocessor into these lights.. Impressive. Here is a summary of the specs:
- CREE Neutral White XP-E Q4
- Input: 1AAA battery (li-ion supported)
- HAIII Anodization
- Orange peel aluminum reflector with AR lens.
- Stainless steel tail cap with SS pocket clip or swappable keyring
More information can be found in the threads linked below.
This light has been provided by kuku427 on the marketplace, we talked on his sale thread here, You can purchase the light for 60$ on above link.
A Bit of Background:
Liteflux has been in the market of fully featured UIs for some time, with the release of a CR123A bodied LF3, a CR2 bodied, LF4, and an AA bodied LF5. You can find a bit more detail on their products on their website here.
ok, now time for some pictures.
Disclaimer: these pictures may not be the best ones you can get out there. I just shove a white sheet of paper in front of the window, lay the light onto the paper, and shoot away!
The liteflux LF2XT came packaged in a wood box.. classy.

Inside we can find a small round container of silicone lubricant, orings, and a keyring,

of course.. there's the instruction manual.. first instruction manual I've actually needed to read.

and here we have the light.

sorry for the dust.

oops, super wide aperture.

couldn't get the head apart for now.. need finer picks to do so.

Beamshots:
as you can see in the below images, the beam profile of the liteflux is slightly oval.. this is not noticeable in real life and is caused by miscentering of the LED. kuku picked out the one that looked the most off center for me to review, he wanted to see how bad they get. :)

First Impressions:
The review was initially delayed.. I had a pretty long card ride with my parents to pick up my brother.. at the inn and on the car, I actually used the light quite a bit at night to find and read things without disturbing everyone else. Other than the 47s Quark, this has the lowest low I have used among these lights: nitecore EZAA, fenix LD01, and lower than these single mode lights: fenix E1, E01. handy! It took me a bit of time to figure out the UI.. but I don't see a way to make it easier.. there is only 1 button, after all. This one button feels pretty "soft".. very easy to program the light with, but I've had the light accidentally activate in my pocket. Now, I keep the head locked out.
This light has one of the smoothest beams you can get! The quark series is around as smooth! the fenix LD01, and nitecore EZAA just can't compare. |
